Spiritualility
If this is your first visit to this site you are very welcome. This is a site dedicated to spiritual concerns; it is not affiliated to any religion or cult and has no hidden motives. We welcome you one and all whatever your particular persuasion. It matters not what your religious background may be, or if you have none at all. All we ask of you is an open heart and mind.
That might not sound like much but some people find it very difficult to accept anything which doesn't fall within their current belief system.
This world is a world of illusion, which may seem like a strange concept for you to believe, but the reality is that we are spiritual beings who are having a physical experience.
If you are at this site now, you either arrived here by accident or you were led here. Either way we hope you will stay and browse awhile and maybe download the free e-book.

We consider ourselves first and foremost as spiritual beings, who are enjoying a physical incarnation. We believe in serving the creator by serving others. Our aim is to be a beacon to others who are on their journey back home. Many are lost and confused, many have fallen by the wayside, and others are tired and weary. We, if we can, would like to shed a little light on your path and extend our hand to you in friendship and love.
What does spiritual mean to you? Does it mean attending regular religious gatherings, i.e. going to church every week? Does it mean giving aid to the poor or studying some ancient religious texts?
The dictionary definition of spiritual is as follows:
1/Of, pertaining to, consisting of, or having the nature of spirit or a spirit; not tangible or material.
2/Of, concerned with. or affecting the soul.
3/Of, from, or pertaining to God; divine.
4/Of, or belonging to a church or religious organisation; ecclesiastical.
5/Of, pertaining to, or having highly developed or refined qualities of mind or sensibility.
6/Linked by, or sharing a deeply intellectual or emotional affinity.
7/Pertaining to. or having the nature of spirits; supernatural.
So as you see this gives us a fairly broad spectrum to work from, being spiritual can encompass any or all of the above definitions.
The majority of people have yet to awaken to the spiritual side of their nature, many do not even realise that they have a spiritual aspect and it usually lies dormant throughout their incarnation. In this illusion we call life we have become so wrapped up with the physical nature of things that the spirit is often forgotten or ignored altogether.
This is the cause of most of life's problems. We focus on the material world, we think this is the most important thing there is. How very wrong we are.
It is not the fault of the majority for neglecting the spiritual side. From babies we are conditioned and brainwashed into thinking and behaving in a certain way. Concentrating on the spiritual does not bring power, fame or fortune so for the average person there are few benefits here. We are conditioned to believe we have to get an education, a stack of academic qualifications, get a career, get married, have 2.5 children, car, large house, etc, etc. These are some of the distractions in life that stop people from thinking of their spiritual side. Many will say "well I just don't have the time for all that". This is unfortunate for our spiritual nature is our one true nature, and far more worthy of our time than material things.

When we depart this mortal coil - as we all will, we cannot take any of those material possessions with us, although some may try. Being a spiritual person doesn't mean that you have to renounce all earthly possessions and passions, it means you are not ruled by them or see them as more important than your spiritual nature.
We can still enjoy all that earth life has to offer us whilst we are here; all we need to do is to keep a balance between the spiritual and material. Once we understand that we are primarily spiritual beings, and work on improving this understanding then everything else falls into place. You may ask how we recognise this spiritual nature. The first step is to want, and then to seek. Once you begin to search, then a way will be made for you to find the answers.

You may ask where religion fits into this. And you may say, well I'm a good Christian, or Catholic, or Muslim, Buddhist, Jew, etc. Religion was meant to act as a signpost pointing people in the right direction, but like many things in this world it has become tainted and abused. This is not an attack on anyone's religious beliefs, for all religions contain seeds of truth. Unfortunately most of it has become twisted and distorted. The creator, Infinite being, source of all does not attach a label to itself, the creator just is. And this is what we are meant to follow, to just be and let others be. It is time to stop letting the labels get in the way, and to realise we are all children of the one, and no one individual is any more special than another. The creator does not desire that we kill and torture one another in his/her name.
Until we learn to live in harmony with one another, and share our love for all humanity, we are spiritually bankrupt. This is the basic message in all religious teachings, to love one another, and to treat others as you would wish them to treat you. This means showing respect, compassion, tolerance and love to all beings you encounter on your journey through life. This is not a difficult thing to do yet many seem to have a problem with this and seem to think that they are in some way more special, or chosen, richer, better educated and all the other egotistical attitudes that some adopt.
We are all on a journey back to the source, and it doesn't matter which path you choose because all paths eventually lead back to the one, so have some respect for those on a different path, they are no better or worse than you, they just choose a different route.
Many may ask, what is my purpose? Why am I here? I feel I have a mission but don't know what it is. These are simple enough to answer.
Your purpose is to awaken to your true nature - that of a spiritual being, to learn about unconditional love. You are here to learn those lessons for the greater good of humanity, to experience life in all its multifaceted aspects, to grow spiritually so you grow more like the creator. Your mission is to be you, be the gentle, loving, caring spirit that you are. Learn to love all beings the way the creator loves you.
Many teachings say that the creator is an angry, vengeful deity. If this were true then
mankind would have ceased to exist a long time ago. The creator has unconditional love for all his/her creations, and only desires for all to return to the original way of thinking. There are no punishments, no burning in the fires of hell, the creator has all eternity to wait for all to return, and this is where you have the free will, to serve the creator and all mankind or to serve yourself.
Serving the creator does not mean taking up a life in the ministry, giving up your worldly possessions and preaching door to door, or setting up temples in his/her name. It can simply be by serving your fellow man, in a kind, loving and generous way, giving of yourself with no expectations. Do whatever it is that you do, but do it with a loving heart. You could be a road sweeper, a factory worker, housewife, doctor, office worker, it doesn't matter what you do. If you can bring light and love to the people around you then this is all you need do.
Infinite Being/God/Consciousness
So, now you may be asking just what or who is the infinite being, and where is he/she/it located.
To attempt to explain this we must get rid of all our old preconceptions of God, this is just a label man has attached to something which is unknowable and unfathomable.
If we again turn to our dictionary for the definition of infinite it tells us.
1/Having no boundaries or limits.
2/Immeasurably or unaccountably large,
3/Unlimited in spatial extent.
4/Continuing endlessly in time, space, extent, or magnitude.
5/All encompassing; total:
So we see from these definitions that to use a small word like God really doesn't explain fully the concept of an infinite being.
What we are dealing with is so vast that there are no adequate words or definitions to describe it. So we try to use terms that we are more able to understand
What we are dealing with is pure consciousness, it is not something that can ever be understood from a human perspective, the only way we will ever truly know the mind of the infinite being is when our consciousness reunites with the cosmic consciousness.
On a certain level we are one with that consciousness but we do not believe it, we instead believe we are all separate beings; this is the illusion that has been maintained by the collective consciousness.
It is through meditation that we are able to reach that collective consciousness and in turn touch the mind of the infinite being, for we are all part of it and it is very much a part of us.
